About Rena

I am an advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community and my pronouns are she/her. My passion is to provide a safe space for both adolescents and adults, from all backgrounds, who are motivated to recover from grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, and other stressors. My approach is eclectic and client-centered, primarily based in Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Polyvagal. I enjoy researching new modalities in my spare time and plan to gain further knowledge to better support my clients. I currently hold a certification as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

I moved to New Mexico in 2020 without ever visiting, looking to put down roots in a brand new, positive, WARMER environment. I feel I made an excellent decision, but goatheads have become the bane of my existence! Prior to this, I've lived in Indiana, Tennessee, and Ohio and before dedicating my life to mental health, I worked in tech support, photography, theatre, and radio. In my spare time, I enjoy going to concerts, movies, sporting events, camping, and caring for my spoiled dachshund who enjoys eating rocks.
