About Beatriz

I was raised in Socorro, NM for most of my life, as I came to the United States from Mexico at around age 8. I graduated from Socorro High school and always had a passion for helping others but did not consider the mental health field until college. Further, I always knew I wanted to give back to the Socorro community when I graduated from college by moving back and practicing in Socorro. Initially, I wanted to go to school to practice in the medical field to become a doctor. However, I took an introductory course in psychology and I felt it was my calling to work in behavioral health and from there I completely changed my major. I feel very strongly and passionate about the work that I do and the place that I work for. I am a mom of one child and have an interest in learning and growing in my career.

I love the New Mexican culture and the friendly community that I work for. I aspire to continue growing in the behavioral health field and to continue giving back to the community in any way that I am able to.
