About Susan

I have had the privilege of serving in the nursing profession for many years. While on a medical mission trip several years ago, it became evident that there was a need for nurse practitioners willing to provide care in rural areas both locally and around the world. For this reason, I chose to complete my degree with a focus on becoming a family nurse practitioner 

I decided to join Presbyterian Medical Services because I respect their organization, their mission, vision and values. Becoming a Presbyterian Medical Services team member enables me to practice in a high-quality environment in a rural setting. At Carlsbad Family Health Center, I hope to encourage patients to become partners in their own healthcare, making preventative health, wellness, and patient education my top priorities. I’m also looking forward to getting to know the local community. I especially can’t wait to hike the Carlsbad Caverns!
